Despite the relevance of Primary Care (PC) in the care of the elderly and its healthcare research, there is a growing deficit in this area. An Integrated Care Organization approach is presented to bring it to the fore. OBJECTIVE. To achieve the emergence of competent PC researchers and research in the geriatric line, which is consolidated in the Organization, in the field of frailty and geriatric assessment. METHODS. A one-year Challenge Based Learning (CBL) training program for professionals to acquire competence as researchers, carrying out their own projects in the frailty area. They go through five consecutive research scenarios: state of art/objectives, project report/methodology, fieldwork, results/discussion, scientific research dissemination. They must collaboratively understand each phase, create a conceptual map, structure/organize formative needs and address them; presenting a writing and oral report at each stage. With lectures and feed-back sessions. In parallel, they carry out the research projects. The evaluation is conducted through formative and transversal rubrics for the collaborative work and method, and for the written report and oral presentation. RESULTS. 1 GP, 3 nurses, 1 nurse in training in primary and community healthcare are participating. Developing two projects, DETFRAGIL1 on the diagnostic performance of frailty detection tests, DETFRAGIL2 on their predictive validity. We are awaiting ESRC approval to commence fieldwork. CONCLUSIONS. The emergence of qualified researchers is being achieved, and two research projects in frailty; with an effective course method and with external validity
